OAU Debunks Increment in School Fees

The management of The Obafemi Awolowo University has debunked rumours about the increment of school fees for the 2021/22 session. In a release by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the great citadel, the school denies having any involvement in the circular that has been going viral on social media platforms.

On Wednesday morning, a memo with an increased school fee was released on media platforms and Great Ife students were thrown into confusion as many questioned why the school would increase the school fees by over 100%! They all looked forward to the official release.

Some even felt the release was valid as 'rumours tend to be true on OAU campus'. However, the reverse was the case this time.

The school clearly stated in the release that there is 'no iota of truth in the said circular'. To avoid doubt, the school disclosed that there has been no increment in fees paid by both new students and returning students.

The management concluded the release by appealing to students, parents, guardians and all other parties concerned one way or the other to disregard the circular in question and its content.
